Today saw the start of teams playing crossover games and finishing round robin games. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the days that teams are placed in matches against others teams of similar ability, usually making for close and exciting games!!
We have had some excellent results today, with lots of teams still in finals contention. I believe (and please don’t take this for gospel as I haven’t been able to catch up with all coaches today) Open Honours Boys, U/17 Honours Boys, U/16 Honours Boys, U/16 Div 2 Boys, U/14 Div 2 boys, U/15 Honours Girls and U/14 Div 1 girls will all be battling it out to win a spot in the finals on Friday. (very sorry if I have missed anyone!) Special mention must also go to Mr Reads team, Sam Halley’s team and Miss Bache’s team who have not lost a set yet…(touch wood!).
Whilst the above teams are having such great success its also important to appreciate the hard work of those teams who are experiencing a more challenging journey. I know, and have seen these teams play some excellent volleyball and by the looks of things these kids are putting their best efforts into each and every point, growing as volleyball players and still enjoying the tour!
Keep up the great work Rossy kids!!
